On May Day 2015 Mary Holt, Maggie Archard & Angela Howes made friendship posies and distributed them around Framlingham, leaving them in public places to brighten the day of those people who had the good fortune to find them. It was all part of the National Association of Flower Arrangement Society's (NAFAS) celebration of National Flower Arranging Day. The idea of The Lonely Bouquet started a couple of years ago in Belgium and has spread globally to bring smiles to complete strangers, brightening the world one bouquet at a time. The lonely bouquets had labels attached asking the finder to contact NAFAS with a photo via Twitter or Facebook. NAFAS then shared the photos and the delightful stories of the bouquet's journey to its new owner. We also attached Framlingham Flower Club details to our labels so that finders could get in touch direct, as not everyone uses social media.
