The Club was asked to participate in the St Edmundsbury Cathedral Flower Festival (Bury St Edmunds) called 'Reflections' in July 2014. Lindi Carrington writes:
'Alan Smith and Lee Berrill were the Reflections Festival designers but they gave us a free hand to do what we wanted with the titles. So Lesley Thompstone was our designer and her husband Phil was amazingly helpful with the organ pipe mechanics. Mary Holt was the team leader. Mary & Joan Overett worked on Choral Music; Lesley Thompstone & I worked on Organ music; Maggie Archard worked on the William Fortibus shield in the cloisters, and Lesley Bennion helped us all by spraying & manipulating everything in sight - aspidistra leaves, callas, anthuriums .....
We were asked to interpret "Cathedral Music" in a position at the end of the nave, with the decorative organ pipes as a backdrop. It had to be in 2 parts and capable of being moved (i.e. on wheels!) so that the grand piano could be brought out for concerts during the festival. In the photo above, the left-hand piece represents "Organ Music" (organ pipes & trumpet shapes) and the right-hand piece is "Choral Music" (red for the choristers, & white for the ruffs of the surplices). The exhibit even looked lovely from the back. At the Private View the piano was being played behind our arrangements, which was a wonderful finishing touch.'
