Yes, it rained! And rained! Lots of members had spent the previous day arranging the flowers at Thurstons barn (thanks to Lindi Carrington). We kept the prices of the baskets affordable so that children could buy them with their pocket money. We set up a stall inside the Co-operative Solar supermarket (nice and dry...) where we also sold small hand-made decorations and brooches, and a stall outside on Market Hill (very, very wet...). The rain kept many people at home, but we sold everything and raised £300 for the Ipswich Hospital Neonatal Unit. Thanks must go to Tesco, David Garnett of Garnett's Gardens and Crisps of Saxmundham for their support; to the Co-operative Solar store for letting us have a stall, and to Framlingham Town Council for allowing us to set up in Framlingham Market. (And thanks to Roger Bennion for providing us with life-saving hot drinks and snacks.)
